Calanthe Art Cafe is a quirky café with colourful interiors, beautiful design and fun elements incorporated in its walls and tables. Situated on Jalan Hang Kasturi of Melaka, it is nestled in a cozy, green space off the main Jonker Street. Confused? Read all about Jonker Walk here.

We were walking along Jonker Street exploring the alleys, art and cafes when we stumbled upon this beautiful piece of art.

The café boasts of classic coffees from the 13 different states of Malaysia. It provides a unique experience with a whiff a history that you order. Customers can order authentic state coffees in hot and cold variants.

  1. So many coffee addicts in the world today. What would we do without coffee. Just think of all those big chains building mega-bucks businesses off the little old coffee bean.

  2. Waaaah I would go there all the time! The decorations and designs looks so chilled and laid back. I like how you can try different coffee beans from the different states. If China made a tea shop like this for all regions, it would great, too!

  3. OMG I love quirky cafes! And coffee! So this would be heaven for me:D I still have to discover all the ones we have here and then write a blog post:D The staff look really friendly too, I think that’s a very important part ❤

  4. Oh I super love their rendition and style of the café, those designs are just huge I love them so much (varieties of kitchen tools etc) this feels like an ideal place for me to just stay the whole afternoon with my pc and drink coffee.

  5. They use different beans to make these coffee, and most of the coffee are derived form the various states. They different in their strength, aroma and preparations style 🙂
