Say hello to yummy food!

I love Nagarjuna!

Ever had a gourmet experience so good, you drool each time you think of it? I have had one such experience at the first outlet of Nagarjuna, on Residency Road, Bangalore. People fond of spicy food, biryani and anything Andhra already love this place…

To watch a video review of the place, head to my channel –> High on Food (Do subscribe for all things food 😉 )

In love with the Chicken Biryani

When to go?

Expect the restaurant to be packed during lunch hours. The location and food attract a lot of customers from MG Road as well. It operates from 12-3.30 pm for lunch and 7-11 pm for dinner. To avoid the rush and waiting queue, reach by 12 or 7 pm, coz after that it goes ‘boom’ with hungry professionals!

Chicken 65!

How’s the food?

Remember the times you’ve tried to poke a hard piece of meat with your fork, and the piece goes popping out of your plate…. that is what I expected!!! Guess I formed a judgement too soon.  When I first tried their chicken biryani, I was amazed at how soft the meat was… and the meal was lip-smacking, down to the last bone! I would suggest set meals, thalis or biryanis for those who want to grab a quick bite without wasting time to order.

Lots on the menu! How much can ya eat?! 😉

What’s on the menu?

Anything Indian you could possibly think of – kabab, fry, gravy, roti, biryani, rice, dosa, idli, egg preparations, meals, salads, beverages and desserts.

Knock knock!

Must try: Chicken Biryani, Chicken 65

Cost: This place does not go too heavy on the pocket and amounts to INR 300-400 per person.

Decor: The decor is OK. It’s simple; not much on that. But the fact remains that people come here for a banana-leaf, authentic, local dining experience and that’s exactly what they get here. It’s a neat and clean place.

Service: Prompt!

Seating: Indoor

Location: Easily approachable from MG Road, St. Marks Road and Brigade Road

Overall rating: 3.5/5

Parking: For 2-wheelers: yes! For 4-wheelers: you’d rather walk!
